The Buis designer and vintage collection, founded by siblings Andrew Bui & Thanh Bui, grew out of a desire to honor and echo the cool and personal sartorial traditions of their New York upbringing of the 1980’s and 1990’s. Each thoughtfully curated piece in the collection draws inspiration from the rich visual experiences and expressions of New York and the discerning sensibilities of New Yorkers, past, present, and future. 

At the intersection of fashion and function, style and humor; whether a handsome oft trusted trench coat; a well considered quirky statement shoe; or an Avant garde couture garment, the collection is an exuberant reflection of the ethereal and the everyday. The collection is a vintage and design resource that celebrates heritage and sustainability and that focuses on (but not exclusively) womenswear, menswear, shoes and accessories, from the 1960’s-2000’s, with a particular emphasis on well considered Japanese, European, and American design. 

The Buis are flaneurs, artists, and vintage and fashion enthusiasts. They both have resided in New York City, and for quite some time.
